Highway 11 looking south towards the Ontario Street intersection along the Burk's Falls By-pass.  Ontario Street is actually the original alignment of Highway 11 before the Burk's Falls By-pass was constructed.  Currently, Ontario Street serves as the northern access road to Burk's Falls, and is still a 7000-series highway maintained by the MTO.

Highway 11 looking north from the Highway 124 junction towards the community of Sundridge.  Sundridge and South River are set to be by-passed in the coming years by a brand new freeway alignment to the west of the current route.  Once by-passed the current route of Highway 11 through Sundridge and South River will be incorporated into a Highway 124 extension.

Highway 11 looking south towards South River.  At present, Highway 11 is still a standard 2-lane highway from Katrine northerly to just north of South River.  This last stretch of 2-lane highway is currently scheduled to be fully freewayalized over the next 7-years.

District of Parry Sound A closer perspective of the start of the divided highway north of South River.  This section of divided highway begins about 2km north of South River.  Approximately 2km of old Highway 11 was bypassed when the divided highway was extended between Trout Creek and South River.

Looking south from the southern Highway 522 overpass.  The Trout Creek Bypass ends at this curve.  Before October 2004, the divided highway ended at the southern end of the Trout Creek Bypass.  In September, 2004, Highway 11 was extended as a divided at-grade highway south from Trout Creek to just north of South River.  Click here to jump to the view looking north from the Highway 522 overpass.
