| District of Thunder Bay |
Looking north across the Little Pic River bridge. The Little Pic River
bridge is located in a deep valley and Highway 17. Notice the odd
striping that has been applied to southbound Highway 17 across the bridge,
this is likely to encourage vehicles to slow down before the sharp curve at
the south end of the structure. Picture taken: July 3rd, 2004. Size: 60kb. |

Looking south along Highway 17 around the curve at the south end of the
Little Pic River bridge. This long curve has been broadened from its

| Township of Michipicoten District of Algoma |
Looking north from Wawa towards Highway 17. North of Wawa, Highway 17
heads inland and offers far less spectacular scenery then it does to the
south of Wawa where it follows the steep shores of the Lake Superior
coastline. Picture taken: July 2nd, 2006. Size: 80kb. |

View looking north along Highway 17 at a very
similar scene to the previous picture. A photo very similar to this
one graced the cover of the 1990/91 Ontario Official Roadmap. Picture taken: July 2nd, 2006. Size: 70kb. |

View looking south along Highway 17 towards the
Highway 101 intersection. Highway 101 departs Highway 17 from a rather
oblique angle, making for somewhat of an oddly designed intersection. Picture taken: July 2nd, 2006. Size: 75kb. |
