This is one of the very first sign pictures I ever took.  This sign assembly is located on the Hanlon Parkway (northbound) just north of Paisley Street in Guelph.  Picture taken September 19th, 2003.

This photo shows the eastern split of Highway 7/24 in Guelph.  This picture is looking north along Wellington Street, Highway 7 departs Guelph eastwards along Wyndham Road South.  Note that the Highway 7 shield in this picture is very obviously municipally made.  Picture taken January 1st, 2004

Continue northwards along Highway 24 or Highway 24 pictures
City of Brampton

Regional Municipality of Peel

This is a blast from the past!  This photo shows an abandoned Highway 7 alignment just west of Creditview Road in Brampton.  Notice that the centreline is painted with white roadpaint, a practice that has been extinct since the mid 1970s when yellow centrelines became the standard.  This abandoned alignment is dwarfed by a railway overhead that is just to the south of this old alignment.  Picture taken May 8th, 2004

This picture is looking north along Highway 7/410 just north of Queen Street in Brampton.  There are few references left to this now defunct multiplex, and I think in the near future these few remaining references may be removed.... signage buffs get your cameras ready.  Picture taken February 26th, 2004

Continue southbound along Highway 410
City of Vaughan

Regional Municipality of York

This picture is looking west towards Islington Avenue along Highway 7 in the centre of Woodbridge.  Before 1997 Islington avenue was actually known as York Road 7, but when Highway 7 was downloaded to the Region of York, Islington Avenue was given number 17, freeing up York Road 7 for Highway 7, as Highway 7 was deemed to important a number to change.  Picture taken June 25th, 2004.

This picture is looking west from the Dufferin Street overpass along Highway 7, this curve  was created in 1987 when Highway 7 was rerouted from Bathurst and Centre Streets to this new alignment.  The grade separation and connecting route (via Langstaff Road) was created at this time too, this new Highway 7 was built to facilitate the construction of the 407.  Picture taken July 23rd, 2004

City of Vaughan

Regional Municipality of York

This picture showcases Highway 7 looking east from the Dufferin Street overpass.  Dufferin Street was the first structure constructed for the new Highway 7 expressway that was built to allow the 407 to be constructed in the same right of way as the existing Highway 7.  In this photo you can see the eastbound lanes are being resurfaced by York Region.  Highway 7 takes quite a beating from truck traffic and despite being paved with a very high grade of pavement fairly recently, 7 needs to be rehabilitated fairly regularly.  Picture taken July 23rd, 2004

Vaughan - Richmond Hill Boundary

Regional Municipality of York

This photo shows Highway 7 looking west from Hunter's Point Drive  Highway 7 is a divided at grade urban expressway through much of York Region, and as such has limited grade crossings, particularly between Keele Street and Bathurst Street.  Picture taken July 23rd, 2004.
